Happy Birthday Miles!!

One baby down - two more to go! Hurry up Ansley and Peyton!

Miles was born yesterday on 12/28/11 and weighed in at a whopping 8lbs 8oz!! He is 21 inches long and of course as we all expected - got his daddy's red hair!! Ted and Cindi are doing great! Congratulations on your precious baby boy!!

1 week from tomorrow until we get our keys to our OWN house! I don't think it has hit my yet that we are officially home owners! We talked and talked about buying a house but always thought that would be years from now. Well look at us now! A perfect growing family and a new perfect home! :) My brother and his girlfriend Krystal are in town so I am swinging by tonight to show them our new crib. They last saw it when it was just dry wall.

New Years Eve? What is that? We will not be celebrating new years this year. With it being our last weekend in the house, I seriously need to pack!!! I have refused to pack my shoes, jewelry and handbags so now I need to get a move on it!

I have my final fitting for my bridesmaids dress for Tiff's wedding on Saturday so that will be the highlight of my day :) We are now less than 1 month away until they say I do! I guess hubby and I need to start preparing our best man and matron of honor speeches :\ (I HATE public speaking!)

Home sweet home

NEXT week! 9 days and counting until we move into our new home! I can't wait to unpack everything. I have forgotten what all we have since some of our stuff has been boxed for months! I have all utilities set up, power was turned back on at the new house and we are ready to get our Uhaul next Saturday morning at 7:00am! I saw this on my friend Amanda's blog and had to steal it. I thought it is a cute way to track the pregnancy. I need to get better at taking weekly pictures of the bump! We got on Ovoovoo (???) this weekend and Adam's grandma Mimi was able to see my belly! I can't believe how far technology has come!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 15 weeks and 5 days!
Size of baby: Orange (4 inches)
Gender: ?? No idea!! I thought it would be a girl at first but now I am thinking a boy!
Maternity Clothes: Yes and no, my bella band and hair ties help me fit into "non" preggo jeans!
Weight gain: hmm...10-12?
Movement: YES! I woke up Sunday night to the first kick. I have been feeling flutters now a few times a day!
Sleep: What sleep?? This baby is trying to get me ready for the next few years of my life :)
Symptoms: BACK pain and still have morning sickness
Cravings: Chick Fil A - Chicken Salad Sandwich
Best moment this week: Seeing my husband's face light up when we got the "Baby Bullet" for Christmas! He is so ready to make organic baby food :)
Notes: This week we have mastered feeling the first kick. Monthly appointment is next week :)

Well I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas! We are so fortunate to have two amazing families and it was so good to spend some extra time with them! We are truly blessed for everyone in our lives. This year has been a big year with celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary, buying our first home and getting pregnant! Now just 5 and a half more months to go :) I cannot wait to see what 2012 has in store for us!

Growing baby!

Baby P is roughly 4 inches from head to rump (a wee bit longer if you include he or she's legs). I have been feeling little flutters at least once every few days! No kicks just yet but hoping they will get stronger within the next 2 weeks! I am SOOO ready to find out if our baby will be Bennett Sye or Madisson Louise! My next appointment is January 3rd and I will ALMOST be 17 weeks. I am going to try my hardest to convince my doctor to do an ultrasound because I have no patience! If no success, my 20 week appointment will be near January 26th and that is when we will find out :)

We got a Christmas card from some old dear friends last week announcing they are officially pregnant!! Congratulations Amanda and Matthew! Adam and I are so happy for you both! I know this is has been a long time coming and your prayers have been answered! Amanda is due July 4th so she is just a few weeks behind me!

We are officially on baby watch for my cousin and 2 of our close friends! All are starting to dilate! So hurry up Miles, Peyton and Ansley! We can't wait to meet you!!!!!! We are fortunate enough that all of our best friends are pregnant or just had a baby so all of our kiddos will be right around the same age!

Update on house... well it has been hit or miss with our new home.

Tuesday I was scheduled to have our final walk through, but I received a call from the builder that morning and he said half of our power to the house is not working. The construction guys messed up on our fence and had to extend to what we paid for. When they did that, they cut a wire but not completely in half. All this rain got down in the ground and shorted all the wires out. So now all of our underground wiring will need to be replaced, but we should have power restored by next Tuesday. Our closing date should still be January 6th-January 12th... we will see!

Relaxing

The ultrasound tech was somehow able to catch this photo today - legs up and arms behind head! Looks like he or she is relaxing just like daddy :) Don't let that fool you, they were a wiggle worm through the whole test! Arms flying, covering face with hands, rolling around and legs kicking!

My mom went with me today and was amazed at how you can see EVERYTHING! Just thought I'd share this amazing photo of our perfect little baby!

PS - according to the heart beat genetic test we are having a girl but we will see!

Neural Tube Test

Well today I have my neural tube test. This is about the only test I will do because reason 1 - Insurance covers it and reason 2 - It is essentially a free 30 minute ultrasound.

So I am VERY happy to get to see my baby again - that will be two times in less than one week! Yayy!! Hopefully baby doesn't have the hiccups this time.

We are fast approaching our closing date and have yet to start packing. I did get all my Christmas decore packed up this weekend :(

The only thing left we are waiting on for the new home is for all of our appliances to be delivered, the glass doors for the shower and fireplace.

Hiccups?

Our appointment went GREAT! Our due date was moved from the June 18th to June 17th. My tummy she said is NORMAL and be happy I look pregnant! I will be 13 weeks this SATURDAY! HELLO 2nd TRIMESTER!

Our baby had a horrible case of the hiccups just like I AWALYS get! It was the neatest thing in the world too see their mouth open and jump every 2 seconds. Here is the only good photo we could get, besides the hiccups the baby was definitely a wiggle worm again. I don't think he or she sleeps! I labeled this for my brother - last time he thought the head and toosh were..well um... nipples.

I do go back next week and do the neural tube test. My doctor said don't worry, I am young and healthy and chances for the baby having DS are slim to none. She said DO get the test because insurance covers it and basically besides a finger prick, I get a free 30 minute ultrasound.

My next appointment will be January 3rd - I will be 16 and a half weeks. I am not sure if I will have a ultrasound then so my gender test will be the week of January 30th when I hit the 20 week mark! Yippee!

Hunger Games

I got a Kindle Fire as my early Christmas Present and love it! I have also picked up reading again and usually find time to read 4-5 chapters a night. When we went to go see Breaking Dawn we saw a preview for a movie that looked GREAT - The Hunger Games. It said it was based on a best selling novel.

It is a series of 3 books. - Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay!

I recommend everyone reading these! So far I am almost halfway through the second book and it keeps getting better and better!

That's it for that. Woke up to a sick dog and kitty this morning so I have to leave work early today and head into the vet. TOMORROW is our 12 week check up. I am praying we get to have an ultrasound done, and we also will get to hear the baby's heart beat for the first time. Adam was working out of town and my mom was going to go with me, but he got home early yesterday! He got me my favorite flowers and made us a delicious dinner -grilled chicken, asparagus and yellow squash! We had chocolate lava cakes for dessert :)

I hope everyone is staying warm and I will update tomorrow after our appointment!

MY BABY IS HOME!!!

I ended up driving to Malakoff last night, I didn't get there until a little after 8:00. It was good to see the hubby but it was even better to get a call that woke us up saying Natalie and Chad found Bella!!! Actually, Bella found them!

They were outside with the dogs last night when Chad heard a cat crying and knew it was her. My 90 year old neighbor has been out of town for the past 2 weeks and has her gate locked. Chad jumped the fence and sure enough it was her! I AM SO EXCITED TO HAVE HER HOME! There is a truck in the backyard and I have a feeling she crawled into the engine block. She was covered in grease. She has lost some weight and doesn't seem too dehydrated

After her bath..

The tub after I bathed her....

She and I both are so happy she is home!

In a slump :(

Well, to say Thanksgiving was great is an under statement. Somehow on Thanksgiving our first pet/fur child went missing. Bella got out and we don't know how/who let her out. She has never been outside before so I was a nervous wreck and just could not stop crying for 2 days. We made signs immediately and hung all 20 of them up in our neighborhood. She does have a collar on but Adam thinks someone took her. She is a tortoise shell cat so they are not too common of a kitty. I pray whoever has/wherever she is she is safe and is returned home to us. Sasha, Leo, Bubba, daddy and mommy miss you too much Bella! :(

Saturday was however our 1 year wedding anniversary, but I couldn't really bring myself to celebrate. We did go out to dinner, ate a bite of our wedding cake from last year (which was surprisingly still tasty) and had a fire in the fireplace. On top of Bella going missing, Adam left Monday to work out of town for 2 weeks! Sunday was a little better, as we had a great late lunch with my parents, brother and Krystal, my aunt and uncle and my cousin who recently moved to Philadelphia with his wife and will be a proud parent in just under 4 weeks! It was good to catch up with everyone and they all couldn't believe I was showing already! Speaking of showing - I am wearing my first pair of maternity pants today! I ordered them online and was leary of what they would look like, but they are cute and you can't even tell :)

I am kind of up in the air on whether I will go visit Adam out of town this weekend. It is a 4 and a half hour drive there and I would take Leo with me so it makes that drive that much longer! Hm.. we will see. I do need to start packing because we are almost 1 month out from our closing date! I drove by the house and well, of course they are moving right along. All of our lighting is installed besides the ceiling fans. I imagine those will be done today.

We are still waiting on bathroom granite, master shower, carpet, sprinkler system, fence and sod! :)

Thanksgiving!

Happy Turkey day everyone! I am waiting on hubby to finish his casserole then off to my mother in law's we go! We taste tested my dressing and it was delicious! I hope my sweet potatoes turn out that well! We have some updated pictures of the house - just about 1 more month! All the pictures are of the kitchen since that is what they have been working on :)

I can't wait to see it with the tile done and all our stainless steel appliances in!

Happy Birthday Natalie!

Happy birthday to my beautiful sister in law Natalie!!!!!

I left her flowers and balloons this morning and she said she cried when she saw them and the card!
I hope you have a fabulous day!!!
(PS - she would so murder me if she knew I posted this picture of her) :)

Happy Friday/Wednesday everyone! I hope everyone has a blessed and safe Thanksgiving Holiday! I will be spending it with our amazing family!!! We are doing Adam's moms on Thanksgiving and having a get together at my parents house on Sunday because my brother and his girlfriend are coming into town! Yay!
Now, going to attempt to not gain 20lbs this weekend!

Nanmama's dressing!

We had a pretty quiet weekend! I was SO sick Friday night, symptoms of morning sickness but 50 times worse! I felt much better Saturday but by Sunday, my brother in law had it!

Saturday hubby took me to see Breaking Dawn and I was not impressed! It was such a long/slow movie, grr! I really wanted it to be good! The only not slow part was near the end. Save your money and wait for it come out on redbox! Last night we watched the change up with Jason Bateman and Ryan Reynolds - it was definitely vulgar but hilarious!

I cannot wait until Turkey Day! This year we definitely have so much to be thanful for - our family, health, baby, and new home!

Those who know me, know I NEVER cook unless baking some sweet treats here and there. This year I am attempting to make my Nanmama (Great Grandma's) dressing recipe! She taught my Grandma and my Grandma taught my mom. I know if my Grandma was here she would be so happy - even if it doesn't come out the same way their's did! (I will be really happy if it does). I am also baking some DELICIOUS sweet potato casserole - its so yummy because it has a stick and a half of butter, 1 cup of sugar, and a half a cup of brown sugar!

I will be 10 weeks tomorrow - a little over 2 weeks until my next appointment and get to see this bouncing baby of ours. I am slowly starting to have my suspicions that is a girl! We will see if I am right :) We have 210 days until baby is here and hopefully around 45 days until we move! Let the fun begin!

A new day!

I woke up SOOOO sick yesterday!! I could not keep saltines, ginger ale or water down! I was already told NO MILK so I don't know what got me so sick. My doctor called me in Zofran and it worked like a miracle. I am 9 weeks today so hopefully only 3 more weeks of this until our second trimester!

Our weekend went great! Saturday we had Tiffany and Paul's couples shower at Pine Forest Country Club and it was great! Adam got to see some of his old friends we hadn't seen in years! And we will be neighbors with one of them come January! Sunday was my birthday so hubby took me out for a birthday lunch but that was all I had time for. Tiffany's pregnant friendly bachelorette party went great. All of the girls loved Pinot's Palette!

Saturday we drove by the house and.. it looks like a house! We have walls and all the bricking is done! I believe the drive way, sidewalk and fencing comes next but I am not 100%!

Well I hope everyone has a great Tuesday and enjoys this stormy weather!

WIGGLE WORM!!!

Yay! We got to see our baby for the first time!!! He or she is such a wiggle worm. Every time the doctor poked me its arms and legs went flying and was shaking its head back and forth! I wish I could sit there all day and watch Mr. Bennet Sye Painter or Mrs. Madeline/Britton Louise Painter! Watching their heart beat was amazing!

I have my next doctor's appointment beginning of December and we should be able to hear the heart then. I am not as far as long as I thought, I was about 6 days off! I am 8 weeks and 5 days and due June 25! It was the best birthday present in the world to see the baby for the first time!

Speaking of birthdays.. my coworkers got me again this morning!

This looks like a cup  cake but it is a huge cake! I love Ooh Lala! The cake was yummy!

In other exciting news.. this is Penelope, Penny for short! She is roughly 6 months old and crazy! I found her last weekend and she was an inside cat so I had to take her in! She is supposed to be going with Natalie and Chad when they get an apartment next month but I want her for myself! :)

Yay bricking! This photo was a few days ago, they are supposed to be wrapping up all sheet rock and bricking by early next week! I will drive by tonight and see how it is coming along :)

Long week

I can't believe it is only Tuesday, on the bright side I am starting my third month of pregnancy today. I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel!

It has been a long week, I have Alex's memorial service on Thursday and to make things even harder on her mom (my friend), her 3 dogs got out late Sunday night! Ugh! To lose your daughter and your pets just days apart? I can't imagine. My sister inlaw and I made signs for them and hung them up last night. We are going to call Special Pals today to see if hopefully someone turned them in.

Now I am just counting down the days until Friday until we get to hear our little peanut's heart beat for the first time!

This weekend will be a busy one. We have Paul and Tiffany's couple shower this Saturday and Sunday I am hosting Tiffany's pregnant friendly bachelorette party since Ashley, me, Megan and Cindi are all pregnant! I am hosting it at Pinot's Palette - I just love that place! And we are doing dinner at 3 Olives afterwards. 3 Olives catered our wedding and it was AMAZING! If you are ever off of 99 and Westheimer Parkway you must check them out!

RIP sweet angel

I woke up to a devastating text message this morning. My dear friend and neighbor across the street lost her 17 year old daughter last night. Words could never express how deeply sorry I am Shireen. Adam and I love you and will always be here for you, just like you have always been here for us. Alex was such an amazing, beautiful young woman. I will miss seeing her everyday and chit chatting about her upcoming senior prom. Shireen.. I hope you know that you will never be alone and you are surrounded by a wonderful support team.

Everyone needs to remember the power of wearing a seat belt!

God has gained a true angel!! Rest in peace Alex Baker.

Halfway there..

Today we have our second meeting with the builder. This is our "pre drywall" meeting and marks the halfway point to closing! Yay! Hopefully our home will be done early January! and hubby and I both get to take off work early! That's always a plus, especially on a Friday!

Anywho, I am still on the morning sickness and sleepy train. I had to leave work early a few days ago because I was so sick! I had a little break yesterday and hopefully today will be too! I bought a pair of skinny jeans the week before Vegas that fit me so well! This morning I had to do the hair band trick... so depressing! At this rate I would expect our baby to weigh 20lbs! Speaking of a slightly larger belly.. check out my lovely lady bump!

I was having a bloated day on Tuesday so I am definitely not this big today! Still close though!

My birthday is next weekend and I ALWAYS decorate my cubicle at work for Christmas. Last birthday my lovely coworkers did it for me! BUT next week is a payroll week meaning I and everyone else will be swamped! So I decorated today! I am going to go get some lights during my lunch break and decorate some more :)

Well I hope everyone has a great weekend! This weekend is Tiffany's first wedding shower! Yay!

Roughly 2 months

pregnant! Ah.. I can't believe it! I should know exactly how far along I am at our VERY FIRST doctor's appointment next week! (I will be 9 and a half weeks pregnant then). My doctor will only first see you between 9-10 weeks. I am sure because she is super busy, but we are dying to see our little peanut for the first time!

We had a great weekend! Hubby's birthday was a success. I had NO idea what to get him and his "I don't need a present, get you something" answers did not help. Finally I remembered... he has had no working radio in his truck for over 3 years! I headed to Best Buy and picked out an amazing system he can hook his I Phone to and play his music from there too! He was so happy and was not expecting that at all! Chad and him spent Saturday morning installing it! My mother in law had a garage sale also Saturday. I picked up 2 matching side tables to our patio set, a tacky Christmas sweater I am dying to wear to work, and of course some neutral baby clothes!

These are all the baby clothes I have bought so far.. gosh I don't even want to know how much I will spend once we find out if our baby will be Bennet or Maddison!

Sunday we had a lazy/clean house day. I steam cleaned the whole house and we watched football. How about them Texans?!?! What an amazing game! And it's always better when the Coyboys lose!

We drove by and walked through our house on Saturday and man oh man - they are moving right along! The bricks should be going up this week, all the wiring and plumbing is done, fireplace installed, whirlpool tub installed and doors and windows are installed! My real estate agent doesn't think it will take long at all. He thinks will be in BEFORE Christmas. If so, that would be amazing. We are so ready to get out of the neighborhood we are in and our drama filled next door neighbors do not help. Here are some updated pictures of our house!

Looking out from our garage

I hope everyone had a great Halloween! My oh so adorable nieces came over and we had a family Halloween.

Mad Hatter - Kayla on left
and a Girly Pirate - Katelyn on the right!

Waldo, Chad and I stayed home passing out candy for awhile. Chad was dressed up as this...

and scared the $%$%# out of all the kiddos. The girls were back before 8:00 so we decided to ALL pile in Mechel's car - Chad in this costume and Waldo in this scary clown mask and go take the kids trick or treating again. We had a blast! Any kids that saw the Jig Saw and Clown coming down the street all started to scream and run to their parents. Even the parents were laughing their butts off!

Today is my close friend of 20 something years' birthday! Happy Birthday Kristi! I hope you have a blessed day! Also tonight I have Tiffany's dress fitting! This will be my first time to see her in THE dress! I know she is going to make a gorgeous bride and can't wait to see it on her!

Ready... for Christmas!!

Hope you like my new blog and music! The last one is the best -  NSYNC!

Let's try this one more time

.......without my computer dying! Vegas was a blast but definitely exhausting. I did good with taking 1 nap a day and not staying up too late. Shoot, I didn't have the energy to stay up even if I wanted to. We probably walked at least 10 miles in 3 days which is a LOT for me! There were a few days that the limo and cab ride were much needed! We got to see everything I pretty much wanted to. We stayed at the AMAZING Planet Hollywood. Georgie was kind of enough and got us all our own room. They were great rooms too! We trecked to Mirage, Venetian, Palazzo, NYNY, Caesar's Palace, Bellagio and MGM! My favorite part was probably winning over $400 on one machine and another $143 on another. We got up pretty early since we were so used to being on Houston time. We had an early breakfast everyday and then started our day. Bellagio was definitely our favorite! And the desserts there were AMAZING! I am going to upload some pictures from facebook (They are all out of order since facebook saves every picture as "njkdngoe094i054ijre".)

The Lions at MGM were amazing. The trainers were playing fetch with them and they acted like a big house cat! The trainers would start petting them and they would just roll over on their belly.

Me and my sister in law Mechel on our way to Vegas!

Hubby and I outside our favorite hotel Bellagio!

Us just arriving at Planet Hollywood and waiting on the rest of the gang

Me, Mechel and Ginny "limo-ing" it up on our way to see Terry Fator - first night in Vegas!

Is this the real Caesar's Palace?

Terry Fator - AMAZING!

Lake Mead heading into Vegas, gorgeous

Perks of getting up at the crack of dawn - getting to enjoy this amazing view of the sun coming up over the mountains from our room

Outside the strip of our hotel

The Lobby of Planet Hollywood

My Freemont Street experience. I LOVED IT! It was definitely a lot trashier than the strip but it was a blast. They also have a light show over top of the canopy on freemont street - it was neat!

Our layover in Denver - fresh snow on the mountains! This airport had amazing views!

Long story short.. here are the dang umbrellas I was dying to see.. I thought they were at Venetian, then was told they were at Palazzo. We probably walked around for 2 hours trying to find this! I finally gave up! We had dinner at Bellagio that night, walked into the lobby and BAM! There were the umbrellas I spent hours trying to find!

My friend Brenda promised me that Bellagio had the best dessert and she was right - it was amazing! After dinner we enjoyed the water fountain show. It was awesome! I tried uploading the video of it on here but it is taking way too long. I posted it on my facebook!

So we are back to Vegas and today was my first day back to work. I was lucky enough to have yesterday off and hubby took off the whole week. Ugh I am exhausted and morning sickness has hit me full force starting yesterday...thank the lord it didn't hit me in Vegas. I got sick today the same time as yesterday so looks like this might be a daily thing. I know I know I can't stop about being so sleepy but I am SO ready to have my energy back in the second trimester.
