Well, life has been busy! Over two weeks ago I decided to put my two weeks notice to Lupe Tortilla. I just was not happy there and it wasn't a good atmosphere. I decided it's time I stop "settling" and do something I want to do. I knew I didn't want to be in the Human Resources field any more, and definitely not in the payroll field.
Well, Lupe's was not happy at all when I put my two weeks and fired me on the spot. I was upset of course, as I worked for them for almost 5 years and they treated me that way. I thought I was being courteous giving them a notice. We prepaid for daycare so Bennett stayed in daycare all last week while I updated my resume and sent out all day long! I seriously think I applied to over 50 organizations!
I saw an ad last week for Forrest Orthodontics and thought I had a friend from high school who worked there. Turns out she does, and LOVES it! I have always wanted to get into the dentistry field and thought this could be the perfect chance! My MIL has worked for Dr. Walker for 20 years and Dr. Walker is also a great friend of Dr. Forrest (another brownie point)
I met with them last Thursday and started working Wednesday! I was expecting less going in, but I am getting the same pay as I did at my previous employer and work Monday - Thursday! Come Summer I will work 2 Friday's a month (But only until noon) The staff is wonderful and it is located right by La Centerra (LOVE!) I am so happy with my decision and really don't know why I didn't consider this a lot sooner!
Bennett stayed with me Monday and Tuesday this week, his aunt Nanny on Wednesday and went back to daycare yesterday! He was so excited yesterday morning when I asked him if he wanted to go "bye bye" (he knows where we are going if we leave so early in the morning) His teachers were so excited to see him!
Bennett is now getting into anything and everything! His favorite things to go after is my laptop charger and Leo's dog toys! Still not interested in walking. He only wants to pull up and stand up on me, which I'm okay with! :)

I'm back!
I have a little EXTRA time this morning to play catch up since my last post.
I left off with my parents being in an awful car accident and in the hospital. Since then both of my parents are home and on their way to a full recovery. My mom is doing much better. She goes back next Thursday to hopefully find out that her ribs are healing correctly. She still won't be able to lift Bennett (or anything) for the next 2+ months which is killing her.
My dad was taken out of ICU and put in a private hospital where he did physical therapy for a week. He is home now, and doing okay. With all of his medical conditions its been really hard on him (and my mom). We have a nurse who comes to shower him because my mom cannot. He's got a long way to go, but we will get there!
Life has been busy! Bennett is almost 9 months old. Where did the time go? He now has mastered "dadadadadadaada" and says that 100+ times a day! He has only said mama once!! He is learning "bye bye" and said it for the first time yesterday. He claps for everything! No crawling yet, but I think we are really close! He has mastered pulling himself up to a standing position before he plops down on his bottom.
His first valetine's was great! A baby truly makes ALL "holidays" better! He had a valentine's party at daycare and my sister and mother in law came with me! It was so cute! All the kiddos passed out Valentine's. I did not want to go out to dinner on Valentine's day a - because it was a work night and I was exhausted and B - because I did not want to wait hours just to eat! I came home and Adam surprised me by being home early! He had a basket full of all my favorite things and cooked my favorite meal (with help from Natalie) It was perfect just being home with my two boys!
Work has been insanely busy! I am now pretty much doing all of our payroll for our 1,200 employees! Adam is still the head safety coordinator at the Chevron plant in Sweeney. He travels about 3 hours total in one day! His company also just landed the contract for the new University of Houston stadium being built! Woohoo!
Bennett is now eating finger foods! He has had mac n cheese, black eyed peas, beans, avacado, he loves the sweet potato puffs, pineapple, pears and kellogs nutrigrain bars (crumbled up)
Now time for catch up in photos.. I know I'm sorry, but I am just soooo in love with this little guy!!

Saying goodbye to blogging
Maybe indefinitely. Maybe not.
Since I have been back to work it has been harder and harder to keep up with this thing. Well Sunday, both of my parents were involved in a pretty awful wreck. After seeing the car, we are so lucky they are still here with us. My mother has several broken ribs, gash on her side, swollen head from air bag and as of today her eye has swollen shut. Good news is she is getting to come home today! My aunt (her sister) will be here for awhile to help her and she will be using a walker to get around for now.
My father was placed in ICU and is still there. He has a cracked sternum (which is not helping with his breathing issues he has already had), his seat belt cut a gash on his lower neck/shoulder which is stiched up. Glass cut his arm very bad, however they cannot remove the bandage that was placed on it at the scene because his skin will literally rip off. I am hoping within the next few days they will be able to soak the bandage and somehow remove it. He has been pretty disoriented since.
I do want to ask for prayers for the other vehicle involved. We have no idea who is at fault, if anyone else was hurt, we do know children were in the other car involved. We will find out more when we receive the police report.
Now with working full time, taking care of my baby boy, being a wife and taking care of two parents.. I will officially have no spare time for anything including blogging. So on that note, so long blogger and take care.

C & K's Wedding Photos
Krystal and my brother got their wedding photos back!!! I think it was after the father daughter dance we had to leave due to a sleepy baby boy! Somehow we did not get a picture of Adam and I together! The wedding was in Corpus Christi at the Saloman Ortiz Center on the water and under the bridge. It was a beautiful wedding!
Getting ready and making a toast to the bride!
Putting on her final touches - her "something blue" is her amazing blue heals!
Our "Bridesmaids" picture from the move. Turned out amazing! You can't tell it was 30 degrees and windy!
Love!
My dear Unlce Mike and second cousin Jonah - the ring bearer
The men
Robert, Krystal's dad seeing her for the first time on the big day.

All lined up - Rueben and I were the first one's to walk. (Because we are sadly the shortest)

Cool Sculpting Review
On Friday I had my cool sculpting done!! My hips were first. I had to do each hip for 1 hour. It was uncomfortable, especially when they first put the suction on, but after a few minutes it goes numb. The post uncomfortable part was laying completely still on each side for 1 hour. Thank the lord for an Ipad and Netflix!
When they take the suction off, your fat is literally a frozen roll. They have to immediately massage it out - this so far was the most painful part yet.
Finally it was onto my stomach - the last part. She replaced the suction with a much larger one.. yikes. When she turned it on I thought it was sucking the life out of me! It hurt way worse than child birth. I about fainted, I remember the nurse just saying "breath, breath, breath... just 7 minutes until it is numb". That was the longest 7 minutes of my life. The massage after was so painful. I am so glad I decided to take the day off and have my sister in law pick up the baby. Afterwards I was so so so sore and extremely numb at the same time.
I am on day 5 of the procedure now and still numb, but now the sharp stabbing pains have started. (common)
I was up all night long. As soon as I moved in my sleep, these pains started again. The nurse is calling in Neurotonin which should help these pains. The good news, she said usually the women who hurt the worst, have the best results.. we will see! I am still swollen, bruising has gone down and still numb. The numbness can lost anywhere from 2-4 weeks. I am not sure if it was worth it yet. I also go back Feb 22nd for my second stomach procedure. The hubby will be going with me.

Today's the day!
I'm so excited for today!! Hopefully will be saying bye bye to my mama pooch for good!
In other news - Bennett is doing great. Not crawling yet, and doesn't seem remotely interested in crawling. He loves when you hold his hands and let him stand. He is starting to take steps as well!
He is a chatty kathy! He said Dada about 3 times. His newest jabber is...
"BABABABABAAAAA" (I think this is because we say "bye bye" to Leo and Sasha every morning
"OWWWAAA OWWWAAA OWWWAA"
and my favorite is "WEEEEEE" WEEEE" WEEEE" - he does this for car rides!
He is sitting up all by himself and is sitting up for his whole bath now too! I bought a bath boppy to help support him, and he would just lay down in it instead so that was a no go.
In other news - Bennett has been teething horribly for about the last month and a half. He got his bottom two a few months ago. As of last week, we can finally see his top two teeth! Thank the lord!
Last weekend was Miles' first birthday! Miles is Ted and Cindi's son. Ted is ben's brother. They have all been friends since Adam moved to Katy in the 5th grade. It was at their neighborhood club house and there was a park next door we played at! Bennett went down the baby slide on my lap!

He loved his balloon!
With Unlce Ben Bob
This expression shows what Miles thought about his cake. It was so cute! He was so disgusted when he got icing on his hands!
I could not get a good picture of the boys. Bennett would look and Miles would turn away, then Miles would look and Bennett would turn away.
We don't have much in store for this weekend. Hubby and I have an eye appointment! I have not been in 4 years... yikes! So excited to get a new pair of glasses and hopefully try out contacts! Last time I got them done, my eyes stayed dialated for over 9 hours!! IT WAS AWFUL! Hope this time is much better!
