Let's try this one more time
.......without my computer dying! Vegas was a blast but definitely exhausting. I did good with taking 1 nap a day and not staying up too late. Shoot, I didn't have the energy to stay up even if I wanted to. We probably walked at least 10 miles in 3 days which is a LOT for me! There were a few days that the limo and cab ride were much needed! We got to see everything I pretty much wanted to. We stayed at the AMAZING Planet Hollywood. Georgie was kind of enough and got us all our own room. They were great rooms too! We trecked to Mirage, Venetian, Palazzo, NYNY, Caesar's Palace, Bellagio and MGM! My favorite part was probably winning over $400 on one machine and another $143 on another. We got up pretty early since we were so used to being on Houston time. We had an early breakfast everyday and then started our day. Bellagio was definitely our favorite! And the desserts there were AMAZING! I am going to upload some pictures from facebook (They are all out of order since facebook saves every picture as "njkdngoe094i054ijre".)
The Lions at MGM were amazing. The trainers were playing fetch with them and they acted like a big house cat! The trainers would start petting them and they would just roll over on their belly.
Me and my sister in law Mechel on our way to Vegas!
Hubby and I outside our favorite hotel Bellagio!
Us just arriving at Planet Hollywood and waiting on the rest of the gang
Me, Mechel and Ginny "limo-ing" it up on our way to see Terry Fator - first night in Vegas!
Is this the real Caesar's Palace?
Terry Fator - AMAZING!
Lake Mead heading into Vegas, gorgeous
Perks of getting up at the crack of dawn - getting to enjoy this amazing view of the sun coming up over the mountains from our room
Outside the strip of our hotel
The Lobby of Planet Hollywood
My Freemont Street experience. I LOVED IT! It was definitely a lot trashier than the strip but it was a blast. They also have a light show over top of the canopy on freemont street - it was neat!
Our layover in Denver - fresh snow on the mountains! This airport had amazing views!
Long story short.. here are the dang umbrellas I was dying to see.. I thought they were at Venetian, then was told they were at Palazzo. We probably walked around for 2 hours trying to find this! I finally gave up! We had dinner at Bellagio that night, walked into the lobby and BAM! There were the umbrellas I spent hours trying to find!
My friend Brenda promised me that Bellagio had the best dessert and she was right - it was amazing! After dinner we enjoyed the water fountain show. It was awesome! I tried uploading the video of it on here but it is taking way too long. I posted it on my facebook!
So we are back to Vegas and today was my first day back to work. I was lucky enough to have yesterday off and hubby took off the whole week. Ugh I am exhausted and morning sickness has hit me full force starting yesterday...thank the lord it didn't hit me in Vegas. I got sick today the same time as yesterday so looks like this might be a daily thing. I know I know I can't stop about being so sleepy but I am SO ready to have my energy back in the second trimester.
I promise
I will blog about Vegas tonight. I spent about 20 minutes writing a blog last night and attaching pictures and my computer DIED!! UGH! I FREAKED OUT! So I promise tonight, after I catch up from work... I WILL post a blog about Vegas!

Vegas Vegas Vegas!!
Yay!!!! We leave for VEGAS tomorrow morning!!! I cannot wait! LOL I am also super excited to fly into Denver for layover and see the Rocky Mountians! Get ready for TONS of pictures on facebook! :)
Good news is hubby got home EARLY yesterday! I was so excited, even if he was only gone for 2 days, it felt like a week! We drove by the house on our way out to Katy Mills to do some shopping for Vegas. The whole frame is complete! It was such a crazy feeling walking through. We even picked out what room is going to be our peanut's room :)
I am going to try and head out of work a little bit early. We have to finish packing, take the pooches and all their toys to my mom's house, and finish up some last minute shopping for our trip! Yay! On the negative side.. this is what our room looks like now.. When I pack even if we are only going to be gone 3 days, I pack every pair of shoe, dress, shirt and pants! I already think I am going to need to use the hubby's suit case too : /
Well that's it for now. I am sure I won't get a chance to blog until maybe next weekend! Everyone have a great weekend and week!

Hurry up 2nd Trimester!
I am 6 weeks today YAYYY! Just about half way through my first trimister and still have NO energy what so ever. My routine is go home from the office and take a nap, then go to bed at 8.. maybe I am getting too much rest?! I told Adam when we are in Vegas I still need my nap times :) I am working on the eating healthy snacks thing.. I have my first craving yesterday for Lupe Tortilla's salsa (Yes even after working here for 3 and a half years I am still not sick of it) so hubby and I had date night last night and it was delicious!
I am so excited! I discovered that Coach (my favorite designer hand bags) has DIAPER BAGS!!! I e-mailed the link to hubby and said I found my "pushing present" lol!
I drove by the house yesterday and they framed the garage yesterday! Yay!

Adam went out of town this morning until Thursday or Friday so tonight I will catch up on my DVR, snuggle with my fur kiddos, and enjoy this chilly weather with a nice hot cup of Panera's broccoli cheese soup - yummy! Tomorrow I tackle laundry and start packing for our trip Saturday!
(OH and I googled why I look like I am showing already and I found it is water retention!!!...whew!)

Night Sickness
I know I know morning sickness does not mean you get sick in the morning but everyday around 5-until I go to bed I get soooo sick! My doctor told me not to take my prenatal until right before I fall asleep, that why if it makes me feel bad - I will be asleep!
My sleep schedule is now officially out of whack!!!! I am asleep by 8:30 but Saturday I woke at 4:30 and was wide awake, yesterday was 6:00! The only 2 cravings I have had is for spinach and chili!!!! Not together though :)
Vegas is THIS week. I know I won't have as much fun as everyone else but hubby and I are looking forward to site seeing and I am looking forward to all the yummy restaurants! :) My pants are ALREADY getting tight.. I will be 6 weeks tomorrow! Is that too early to start showing? Ugh!
I had already got my bridesmaid's dress for Tiffany's wedding and was going to pick it up yesterday. I will be almost 5 months for Tiffany's wedding so I knew that dress I spent all that money on would definitely not fit. Thank lord the manager at Davids Bridal was such a sweet heart!!! She let me exchange my dress for free. She also made me put on this "bump" to measure where I would be in 3 months and oh man... I looked like a cow!
Oh well, at least I am getting a new dress! I cannot wait to start on the nursery! I already have been shopping for baby and got a few neutral things like a Teddy Bear bath Towel, some onsies and some teddy bear booties! I also picked up some pacifiers that say "I love my daddy!"
Below is the frame and poem that we gave Adam's mom for her early birthday present! Today is "Grandma's" real birthday so I want to wish my amazing mother in law a very very happy birthday!!! Also below is the youtube link to the video where we told her. :) I am not posting this on facebook for the world to see. Just my blog! :)

A PEA IN THE POD!
Well... we finally got around to telling our close friends and family yesterday. My mother in law loved her surprise for her birthday! So...14 pregnancy tests and one trip to the doctor for a blood test = WE ARE PREGNANT!!!!!!!! We wrapped up this little frame for her that thats "I love my grandma" in this HUGE box filled with packaging peanuts. She didn't get it when she read the frame but it had a poem in the frame that said
Roses are red, violets are blue,
There is someone anxious to meet you!
We know you have been waiting,
Your wish has come true
A new baby is coming,
In June we are due!
She definitely got it then! As most of my close friends and family know we have been on kind of a roller coaster ride trying to get pregnant. Back in the beginning of March we decided to start trying! I called my doctor, she put me on prenatals right away. She said if you are on prenatals before you get pregnant, it decreases your morning sickness by 50%! We were still trying come May when I found out I had to have surgery on my cervix. We were devastaed. We could not try for over a month and one of the side effects from my surgery was the cervix becoming too tight and becoming infertile. My surgery went off without a hitch, I had no scaring and my doctor was positive I would still be able to get pregnant. We tried and tried in June, July and finally August we gave up and now I am just about 6 weeks pregnant!! My first ultrasound is November 11 but hubby has a golf tournament that day so I am calling doctor first thing Monday morning to see if I can reschedule. We did the ring on the necklace and that said we are having a girl, but chinese prediction says a boy! We will find out in December!Well that's it for my big news for now! I guess this blog will now be for the house and our little peanut!

Exhaustion
These past 2 weeks have been so hard on me! Ugh! I have been in bed by 9:00 every night and still feel like I could sleep all day. Trying to find the motivation to get the house cleaned for my mommy in law's birthday party this Saturday! I went home yesterday for lunch and ended up sleeping for 2 hours! Of course I was up all night last night.. Can it PLEASE be Saturday yet?! This has been the LONGEST week ever!

Just another manic Monday!
Work has been so busy this morning. I decided to take 2 minutes to myself and update! :) We had a good (not too productive) weekend! Saturday we went out to Buffalo Wild Wings with Natalie, Chad and Mechel to watch the Longhorns. It was a pretty sad game, but we had an awesome time with the family! My brother and his girlfriend Krystal made the trip to Dallas for the big game - super jealous! I will have to get hubby tickets for the big game one year. After the game we headed back to our house and smoked a drunken chicken! This is a SUPER easy and DELICIOUS recipe! We cover the chicken with mayo, cut off the top of a Shiner Can Beer and shove it up the chicken's you know what and smoke it for a few hours. It was so yummy! Ted and Cindi came over and we played some corn hole before the rain started! Yesterday I was so excited to be outside and finish my kitchen table.. but I woke up to a storm that lasted ALL DAY :( Hubby and I had some quality time watching football all day instead. The Texans game was pretty sad too :( We did peel our butts off the couch long enough to drive by the house, get some dinner and go grocery shopping. Today is Adam's first days out of town since before our wedding! I am kind of sad, but he will be home Wednesday night and I get the bed all to myself and the DVR.. woohoo!
Natalie and I carved pumpkins after the Texas game on Saturday. Mine was supposed to have swirly eyes. I spent about an hour on one eye and got to the second and messed it up! :( Then I realized after this picture that my pumpkin looks crosseyed because of the candle!

We are hoping the slab will be poured this week! Then starts the frame!
Well I hope everyone has a great work week! It will definitely be a hectic one for me!

Fall is in the air!
I LOVE this time of year! I got out all of my fall decorations last week but secretly I am just dying inside to put up my Christmas decor! (Hubby let's me put up my Christmas stuff on my birthday - November 13th!) I do have Tiffany's wedding shower and bachlorette party that weekend but I can assure you that I will find the time to put it all up! The other day at work I listened to Christmas music all day! I am hoping this weekend we can go pick out a couple of pumpkins!
This Tuesday was my boss' birthday! I found a cupcake stand at Bed Bath & Beyond that fit all my cupcakes perfectly! Everyone loved the Ooh La La cupcakes of course!
I also have been busy painting our kitchen table. We bought it when we moved into our first apartment and had NO furniture what so ever. It is the ugly oak color and I cannot stand anything oak! I was going to get rid of it and buy a new one when we move, but I want to splurge after we move and get a full dining room set and bedroom set. So I decided I would just paint it! It is look pretty good so far. I will need about 2-3 more coats of paint and then some poly finish. I also have to do all the chairs as well. I am hoping to finish it by this weekend! I wish I had a before picture, but forgot to take one! This is my progress so far..
I had my first meeting with our builder yesterday and he is very nice! They had our closing date listed as FEBRUARY! I freaked when I saw that! He said It will most likely be December/January since - we are in a drought and there are very few rain days, we have a 1 story, the builders are familiar with that model, and lastly because I am TEXAS fan! He said they are supposed to be working on plumbing this week but I drove by this morning and all the plumbing is already done! Yay! Next will be laying steal cables in the frame for the slab, then pouring the slab. My next meeting with him will be 3-4 weeks from now and the frame will be complete. He also said that our next meeting marks the halfway point. Here is a photo I snapped this morning - I took it from my phone so it isn't too great
Hope everyone has a great end to the week! 16 more days until we leave for Vegas!

Blogging = Success!
My first post was back in August and I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to keep this up as much as I do with facebook. I tried before and failed miserably. I now have 18 posts!! (19 including this one) I am so proud of myself! Plus all these new changes to facebook are driving me nuts! I read on a friends' blog (Shannon) :) that there are MORE changes coming. Facebook why must you do this? Why fix something if it isn't broken to begin with!? Do you realize it has taken over a year and half to teach my mother the older version of facebook and I still get weekly calls from her "How do I send a message, how do I add a friend, How do I comment?". I have a feeling she will never be able to tackle this new stuff and give up on facebook for good!
Anywho, Woohoo! Blog # 19 and still blogging away!

Go Texans!
How about that game? We went out to Brickhouse today with Bob and Jeff and Natalie was working. It was an amazing game for hubby and I because the Texans had an amazing game! Bob and Jeff left in tears since their Cowgirls lost :)
I didn't get a whole lot done yesterday. I made the mistake of getting my flu shot early yesterday afternoon so I was groggy and had the worst headache the rest of the day! We had a quiet evening last night and opened up all the windows, cooked some fajitas, and watched the Longhorns kick some butt! Now bring on the work week, thank the lord it is not payroll week but I have SOO many tasks to get done this week. I cannot wait for vacation in less than 3 weeks! (even though when I am on vacation it typically takes me a whole month to catch up, sometimes even longer) I also have my first meeting with the builder this week to look over the final blue prints with all of our upgrades added. Yay! I drove by the house yesterday and snapped some shots of the neighborhood and YES, they started building!
Hope everyone has a great week! I hope it goes by fast! Next weeked Waldo and I might go out to Old Town Spring for a wine festival (Weather permitting, apparently we might get some rain) Fingers crossed!
