How Far Along: 29 weeks!

Size of baby:   3lbs & 15 inches long!

Gender: a growing BOY

Maternity Clothes: Actually, I went shopping this weekend and got a few skirts, some tanks and maxi dresses for our maternity photos and not one outfit was "marternity"!! Granted I did have to buy a large isntead of a small. lol

Weight gain: 20lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Movement: YES! My stomach goes CRAZY! I have tried numerous times to film that leg sweep across my belly, but everytime I pull out the camera he stops!

Sleep: It has been better this week! Bennett has been super alert all day every day and seems to go to sleep the same time mommy does! Daddy's alarm clock wakes him up every morning at 5:15am, leaving me with 45 minutes to lay in bed and feel him kick :)

Symptoms: Morning sickness has been horrible - I feel like I am in my first trimester! I offically have "the line" down my belly and almost an outtie, been really awake in the mornings with fatigue hitting me in the afternoons. Braxton hicks have definitely died down. Heart burn will be the death of me.

Cravings: Nothing this week - I have been super picky because of horrible heart burn

 Best moment this week: I ordered this heart doppler off of ebay weeks ago. I accidently had it sent to our old address so I have been freaking out waiting to see if it will get returned to the seller then I would have to pay for shipping again and have it sent to our new address - well since we have our mail forwarded it was sent to our new house! Yippeee! I can't wait to play with it tonight!

is what I think!! Bennett was not cooperative - of course! Baby had his hands and feet in his face. Mommy had to roll from side to side, get my belly poked and shaken, bend over and touch my toes and do jumping jacks with still no prevail. We did get some good pictures though - enjoy :)

4D Ultrasound!

These are typically quite a bit of money and I thought it just was not worth it...HOWEVER - now that we are getting closer and closer to baby Bennett's arrival, I don't want to regret not getting one done! I have bene told that they are totally worth it by mommies who got one done. Mom's who opted to not get one day just say "all babies look the same". I searched 4D ultrasounds before and after and it is crazy how much the little ones resemble their ultrasound!

My doctor isn't too much for the ultrasound $150 for a 30 minute ultrasound, dvd and images printed. This runs between $200-300 at other 4D Ultrasound places. I knew Adam wouldn't be able to go, and my doctor knows he can't miss work so usually she sends me home with a DVD of our normal ultrasound for him.

 He agreed as long as it came with a DVD so he could see too! I called yesterday and they had 1 spot open today at 4:00pm so I took it! My mom is going to go with me and I am excited because she has never heard of a "4-D Ultrasound" When I asked her to go with me she said "But your not 40 weeks, why are they doing a 40 ultrasround?" LOL So now I will take bets - who will baby B look like? Mommy or Daddy? I am totally thinking mommy but we will see! I sure hope he gets daddy's blue eyes and those blonde curls!

Weekend Recap!

Friday was my mama's 60TH birthday!!!!! I had flowers sent to my mom's work that I had ordered weeks ago. Of course they delivered them on Thursday and not Friday - but she loved them flowers from "Adam, Amy and Bennett" :) Adam and I took her and my dad out to dinner to her favorite - of course Los Cucos that night. I had a work meeting at the restaurant that afternoon and of course we all ate lunch so I for once did not want mexican! I ordered a queso and a fried banana burrito for dinner. My waiter looked at me like crazy and thought I was kidding. My husband reassured him I was not kidding and to please bring me my food :) lol

Saturday I was TIRED - I drove out to Richmond for my consultation with Studio Ainsley Photography. We have not gotten our photos done yet but I recommend her to anyone with babies! Her photos are so amazing and her studio is just beautiful!! I found out to bring a full baby to newborn photos and have extra bottles and lots of diapers. She has TONS of props from bird bests, bowls, cocoons, wraps etc! I need to purchase some more knit hats for baby B but I think that's it. After my consultation fatigue set it. I blame the anemia. I went to HEB Saturday night with hubby and they were of course out of slow phase iron. We went shopping and grilled.

Yesterday I washed all of Bennett's clothes and hung them up, mopped, steam cleaned, did 6 loads of laundry, bathed the dogs and went on a shopping spree. I was exhausted last night! I got my iron last night but have to take it opposite of my prenatal so I started it this morning. Here's to hopefully getting my energy back!

Baby B's closet - Yes it is full. I still need to find some newborn shorts! I found 1 pair at Penny's this weekend of some plaid bue ones but they only had 1 newborn size! I also picked up some adorable overalls this weekend, my diaper bag and some other goodies :)

I forgot to post this - this was my belly Thursday night. This is Bennett's butt popping out of my tummy! He does this EVERY DAY!

And I know I posted this on facebook - We have gone through ROLLS AND ROLLS of toilet paper for the past month. It is every where - hallway, closet, Bennett's room and I never know who is doing it! We finally caught the culprit. Now thanks to Mittens - all of our toilet paper is hidden. :)

Maternity Clothes: Yes... thanks for reminding me! I slip into one of Adam's big t-shirts and basketball shorts when I get home!

Movement: 24-7, we have one crazy baby on our hands

Sleep: I have been so tired lately, in bed by 8 but restless legs and kicking baby keep me up!

Symptoms: Heartburn, restless legs, braxton hicks, morning sickness

Cravings: Hersheys with almonds

 Best moment this week: Finally getting a better idea when this monkey man will be here!! I should expect him anytime between 34-37 weeks (since I have had a pretty extensive leep procedure) If not here by 39 weeks I will most likely be induced! B should be here no later than June 7th! Yippee! I also found out I passed my glucose test! Yay! But then found out I was really anemic.. boo :( I guess I can blame that on my fatigue lately

So apparently my features to my blog were funky and no one could comment on my blog!! I think I have it fixed but not 100% sure!

Today is the day.. I am praying I am really 30 weeks pregnant and not 28! I don't want to offend my doctor when I say "um.. I think your wrong" but like I said before, at my last appointment she said I was measuring a week ahead so maybe it won't offend her too much.

I got my baby shower invite to my shower yesterday so that means everyone got there's too! I am so excited! My shower is only 1 month from today! My Aunt Linda and cousin Kristin will be hosting it - they did an amazing job at my bridal shower. I am more of a short and sweet shower kind of person with NO games! I think we will have a light lunch, cake or cupcakes and presents. I hate to make everyone stay at a shower for longer than 2 hours!

I almost forgot - http://www.theknot.com/ was my life and savior during the wedding and I was able to make a free wedding website to keep the family up to date with all the last minute details. Now that we are pregnant I have been living off of http://www.thebump.com/ and their amazing countdown and check list! I had NO idea I could make a baby website on there! Yesterday I discovered it and made one - http://amypainterbaby.ourbabychannel.com/

I will try to post an update today or tomorrow after my doctor's appointment. I have a feeling it will be 2+ hour appointment with my glucose test taking over 1 hour. Stay tuned!

Bennett unfortunately is right on schedule at almost 28 weeks (tomorrow). Mommy is measuring 30 weeks, which is why I am not crazy for thinking he was that big. She said my uterus is measuring that probably just because of extra fluid and it is nothing to be worried about.

She thinks definitely will not stay in until week 40. Since I am a wonderful leep patient and had to have a good amount of my cervix removed last summer that she will most likely induce me at week 39 - when means we should have baby on or before June 7th! She still thinks he will be here before June 7th but we will see! 11 weeks or less from tomorrow he will be here!!!! Also did my glucose test and it wasn't that bad. Hoping I passed!

Getting tired..

of being pregnant!!!! I know, I have less than 3 months to go and I have a feeling they are going to drag on by. I am so ready to have my baby here and curled up in my arms. It is so hard to imagine how much everything will change.. for the better of course!

I for one, will have to wake up before my husband (After being up all night) to get my little man ready for day care. My fur kiddo Leo will no longer get snuggle time on the couch while mommy watches the news in the morning. (This is his favorite thing to do) No more going out on a whim whether it be to dinner, out with friends, grocery store, etc. It is just so crazy to imagine it won't be the two of us anymore. I am so ready to get into a new routine (or lack of I am sure for a few months)

I am slowly calming down out labor. I am just scared that I have had so many Braxton Hicks contractions that I will just convince myself I am not in labor. (I had 3 in a row every 10 minutes in Saturday and ALMOST made hubby take me to the hospital - but it stopped thank the lord)

My sister in law is convinced I will be on bed rest next month until he gets here. I HOPE not :( I still have so much to get done!!! This weekend I updated all of the flower beds - and almost died I might add. I look at it as - UGH still 3 more long months until he is here and then holy crap he will be here in 3 months dfklgjhdfklg!!!! 

I know, I ranted but have LOTS on my mind of course! :) We had a good weekend. Adam was still sick and recovering from gastrointestinal virus - YUCK. He did not make it on guys trip. I finally got our lawn mower in to get repaired. We have been paying to get our yard done for about a year and a half because the self propeller went out. Now, we could use that extra $60-$80 a month for baby B so I thought it was worth the $100 to get it fixed. I ran errands all day Saturday and then worked in the yard while my sick hubby rested. Yesterday we celebrated his sister's 33th birthday! Mama Debbie made some yummy food and Natalie made an AWESOME strawberry cheesecake. I had a slice for me and a slice for Bennett. After that we bought out HEB, pulled out our old dog clippers and SHAVED Sasha. She looks like she is naked! Last night I was really excited for that new show Frozen Earth... well I didn't think it would show seals, bunnies, etc getting killed. I cried my eyes out within the first 30 minutes and decided it was not for me! Morning sickness hit me this morning... BAD. Hoping this isn't a sign of how this week will go. I am scheduled for my monthly appointment on Wednesday and will also get my glucose test done. Fingers cross I pass!

27 weeks! 6 months down, 3 to go!

How Far Along: 27 weeks!

Size of baby:   2.5 lbs and roughly 14.5 inches long!

Gender: a growing BOY

Maternity Clothes: Yes

Weight gain: 13ish lbs

Movement: Yes! I feel like I know him so well already! He kicks me in the mornings right when I wake up, on my way to work, at noon, 6:00pm, 8:00pm and his favorite time is when I go to bed :)

Sleep: Off and on. Struggling to get comfy at night

Symptoms: STILL morning sickness, heart burn, I now have to take Colace twice a day for the rest of my pregnancy with increased water, braxton hicks are hitting me just about every night.. and my newest symptom is not so great - leaky boobies! But I read this is a GREAT sign to have if you plan on breast feeding. Definitely freaked and grossed me out! Ugh. What we go through to have a baby!

Cravings: Different things. Last night it was a grilled cheese!

 Best moment this week: Hubby has been trying to listen for baby's heart beat. It is so sweet having him lay his head on my tummy.

I haven't been so great about blogging.. we finally finished our registry last weekend at Target. I wasn't too impressed with their baby items but I already had them listed on my baby shower invites so I had to do one there.

This weekend hubby has his annual's guys trip to Sac's farm/deer lease so I had made plans to pick out maternity clothes for my maternity photos and start working on getting a nursery at my mom's together. Adam called this morning and said he is full blown sick and feels feverish. Depending on how he feels tomorrow, I might have a sick hubby to take care of this weekend without me getting sick! Not fun!

In other exciting news - last week I measured around 36.5 inches and this week I am officially 39 inches!! Safe to say we have a healthy growing boy! I have a doctor's appointment next Wednesday and anxious to see if my doc will move my due date to a little bit sooner.. we will see! It will be pretty busy from here on out. Next week we have my mommy's 60th birthday, maternity/newborn photos consultation, baby shower and hospital tour in April, then getting last minute touches ready in May for his big arrival! And how could I forget - yesterday I officially hit the 6 month mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, BUT I am starting to panic a little bit. How will I know when I go into labor and not get it confused with Braxton Hicks? How long and painful will labor be? Will I be a good mom? How do I learn everything there is to know about taking care of my little one. Ugh! It stresses me out!

I wanted to send a special birthday message to her because she is also pregnant with a future Katy football player and due just weeks after me! She was put on her full time bed rest and I can't imagine how hard it must be. So Amanda - Happy Birthday from Waldo and I! We hope you have an amazing birthday!! Take it easy and don't party too hard! ;) 

26 Weeks!

No picture update today. According to belly measurements I am the same as I was on Sunday - 37.5 inches!!!!! Ah!!

Movement: 24-7. This baby is going to have our hands full when he gets here!

Sleep: What is that? No, I have been getting horrible sleep. Can't get comfortable - woke up at 4:00am this morning with morning sickness

Symptoms: Back pain, morning sickness, swollen hands and some other not so pleasant symptoms I will not post on here :)

Cravings: Nothing this week

 Best moment this week: Hmm.. I'll have to come back to this one. It has not been a very good week pregnancy wise. Horrible stomach pains and morning sickness have taken over my life! On another note - Bennett will be here in less than 100 days!!

25 weeks and growing!

I haven't been too good about posting in the past week. I was on bed rest from Thursday-Sunday. It was NOT fun one bit!!!! I am a "go go go" person and sitting home all weekend drove me insane! I think it is safe to say I will not be a stay at home mama. I will treasure those 6 weeks I will be home with Baby B, but then it will be back to work for me!! We got a new bedroom set delivered Saturday - I put the bed to good use and laid in it all Saturday and Sunday! This weekend we get the last 2 pieces to our new living room set. I also WILL finish my Target registry this weekend since my shower is inching closer and closer. Now time for my 25 week update -

*I am much bigger than last week and can tell - my walks with Sasha every day are now at a much slower pace. Poor Sasha looked at me like "ugh mom hurry up"

How Far Along: 25 weeks!!

Maternity Clothes: Yes.. I can officially not fit into any of my prepregnancy clothes without wearing my belly band

Weight gain: 13lbs as of last Thursday :(

Movement: YES, I actually saw his foot 2 nights ago!

Sleep: Slept good 2 nights ago.. last night I tossed and turned trying to get comfy. Bennett's new routine is waking up at 9:45

Symptoms: TUMS are still my best friend, morning sickness is still kicking my behind- I threw up about 13 times the other night. Back pain, contractions - no swollen feet... yet

Cravings: sharp cheddar cheese and pickles

 Best moment this week: My hubby laughing his behind off because apparently when I sneeze my belly button sticks out!

I also bought his pack and play this week and got it set up last night. I am so nervous he will be here early and just want to be safe. Since the procedure I had this summer causes preterm labor I have been on edge ever since my episode of heavy contractions. We hired my fill in at work (She will stay permanently) and I have been training her all week. I will pass a brunt of what I do now onto her, and I will be more involved in some HR procedures. It will be crazy with opening 3 more restaurants this year so far and having a baby, but I am ready for it!
